ABSTRACT
Nikola
Tesla B Power plant's ash slag depository was built in
swamp - depression among villages Skela, Uš?e, Ratari,
Grabovac and Dren and represents a possible source of
subterranean water pollution.
The analysis of depository`s influence on water - quality
of village wells was done by comparing the results of
zero - state and continual measurements of physical, chemical
and bacteriological parameters during the depository exploitation.
The
results show that the water of most village-wells was
bacteriological and chemical incorrect according to the
measurements of the zero-state.This was confirmed by later,
several years lasting measurements. Unsatisfying water
quality of village wells in the area of Nikola Tesla B
Power - plant's ash - depository, has ecological, health
and social - economic consequences. Some aspects of these
consequences were already considered. One of the conditions
for depository - exploitation was that Nikola Tesla B
Power - plant should provide healthy drinking water for
the surrounding settlements which was partially realized.
